About this event
One Step Ahead: Talk, Play & Grow Playgroup
Join us at Huizenga Park for One Step Ahead: Talk, Play & Grow — an interactive speech and language playgroup for toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers. Led by a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist , this one‑hour outdoor program blends evidence‑based strategies with joyful, play‑based learning to support early speech, language, social communication, and literacy skills.
Each week, families enjoy a fun, welcoming space to explore, connect, and build communication skills together.
Each Session Includes:
• Welcome Circle with greetings, songs, and movement
• Interactive Story Time to grow vocabulary and early literacy
• Sensory Play with themed activities that spark communication
• Music & Movement to support language through rhythm and play
• Play‑Based Learning Stations targeting vocabulary, requesting, commenting, turn‑taking, following directions, and social interaction
• Caregiver Coaching with simple strategies you can use right away
Come talk, play, and grow - your child’s next milestone might happen right here in the park!
