Music Americana: From Blues To Folk: Lead Belly & Guy Davis

About this event

Step into the soulful world of the blues to celebrate two musical giants. Discover the incredible journey of Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter, who survived years in prison to gift American music with timeless classics like Midnight Special and Goodnight Irene. His raw power and unique style earned him a place as one of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s first folk inductees. Carrying the torch today is the legendary Guy Davis. A two-time Grammy nominee and son of actors Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, Davis is a master of the acoustic blues. His music is crafted for the heart—perfect for humming along, stomping your feet, and feeling the resilience of the human spirit. Join us for an inviting journey through history and song, where every note celebrates heritage and the enduring power of the blues. This event is also available virtually.
